
I'm a professionally-trained chef, dinner party & events curator, recipe developer/tester/editor for cookbooks, and content creator. I'm the author of Mouthful by Maya on Substack, a space to chit chat about good food.
My culinary career began while working as a prep cook at Misi in Brooklyn for the summer in college. After graduating from Wake Forest University, I worked as a line cook at King in SoHo, an unabashedly seasonal restaurant. I trained at the Institute of Culinary Education in their Health Supportive Program and completed my externship in the test kitchen at Martha Stewart & Marley Spoon.
Now I run By Maya Greenfeld, a private cheffing service based in New York City. If you're looking for chic, seasonal, and delicious food, I offer weekly meal prep services in NYC, as well as catering for parties of all shapes and sizes in the New York metropolitan area and Hamptons.
